The convergence of these two watchmaking giants in the Blancpain X Swatch Fifty Fathoms collaboration is a narrative of heritage meeting modernity, precision intersecting with accessibility, and craftsmanship harmonizing with innovation. Together, they breathe new life into the Fifty Fathoms collection, a series steeped in history and adored by enthusiasts and professionals alike. The model presented here is the Indian Ocean edition, in a green and black theme to commemorate the Indian Ocean. Measuring at 42mm and crafted with Bioceramic, the material is developed by blending ceramic used in high-end watchmaking and bio-sourced material, which ultimately creates an extremely durable and scratch-resistant result. Flipping the watch over, we are presented with the depiction of the Indian Ocean, along with the ocean’s unique nudibranchs. Nudibranchs are found in all five oceans and are renowned for their remarkable colors and striking morphological characteristics. For this model lays the Nembrotha Kubaryana, with captivating hues exhibited, endemic to the Indian Ocean, evoking imagery of vibrant coral reefs and shimmering aquatic landscapes. Driving the watch is the Swatch movement SISTEM51, capable of up to 90 hours of power reserve and 91 meters of water resistance.
