Czapek swiftly earned acclaim as one of the preeminent horologists of the 19th century, garnering the prestigious title of Official Supplier to the Imperial Court and being bestowed with the esteemed honor of serving as Watchmaker to His Imperial Highness, Prince Napoleon. However, in 1869, Czapek disappeared, only for the brand to be revived through an equity crowdfunding campaign, being the first Haute Horlogerie Company revived by worldwide watch connoisseurs. An example of the brand’s high watchmaking can be evident from the watch presented here, the Antarctique Rattrapante Mystery Green. Measuring at 42 mm and crafted with stainless steel, the watch is carefully designed with a contemporary aesthetic. The dial is skeletonized with green hues, allowing for a peak into the calibre SXH6, a movement able to provide up to 60 hours of power reserve, alongside 120 meters of water resistance. Emphasizing both performance and intention, the components are thoughtfully arranged to achieve a harmonious and transparent visual appeal. The sporty look of the watch is further bolstered by its integrated stainless steel bracelet, rounding off the modern and stylish nature of the watch.
