The IWC Portugieser (ref. IW358312) brings the classic proportions and legibility of the brand’s earliest 1930s-era marine chronometer wristwatches into a compact, automatic configuration, paired here with a stainless steel bracelet and silvery-white dial. Introduced in 2020, the 40mm case size marks a measured departure from the traditionally larger Portugieser profile, enhancing wearability without compromising visual presence.

Framed in polished stainless steel, the sunburst silver dial features clean Arabic numerals, a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, and feuille hands – all heritage-design elements that honour the original ref. 325. Powering the watch is IWC’s in-house calibre 82200, an automatic movement with Pellaton winding system and a 60-hour power reserve, visible through a sapphire display back. Water-resistant to 30m, the case is matched with an integrated steel bracelet for practical, all-metal versatility.
